Artist’s statement

    I always knew I wanted to be an artist ever since I was 6 years old.  My journey as an artist has changed many times over the years.  My reason for painting has changed too.  I have always loved the process of putting paint to paper and canvas making shapes and values into beauty.   Out of my love for God and His creation,  my relationship with Him and painting His creation has become more important than painting.   When I was young I just painted what I saw. I am learning to paint by faith with the “eyes” of my heart.  Now  I see “as it is in heaven” here on earth and my painting has become an act of worship of Him,  a Celebration of Him manifested here on earth,  a partnership with Him as He shows me what to paint.  I give Jesus all the glory.
